It looked like it was going to storm early this morning. I said to Mummy "You don't need a shower Mummy because it's going to rain outside". She thought that was pretty clever thinking.

Mummy and Daddy are much better now. If you recall, two weeks ago, just after Mummy came home from Dublin, I got very sick with Strep Throat. Well my antibiotics worked very well and I felt all better after the 10 days of having my "pink yummy". However by Friday of that week, but Mummy and Daddy were not feeling well at all, so on Sunday, I went and played with Katie (Starbucks of course, but also some shopping), while they went to the doctor. They both got drugs, and Daddy was back at work on Monday, but Mummy was much worse and she stayed in bed for the next three days. We were concerned that it might get much worse and she'd have pneumonia again, but her drugs fixed her by Thursday. Everyone's been very tired though.

This morning was fun - I went to school. Yep, even on a Saturday. Today was their Family Festival and Open House for new families. We went there to play games and stuff. My teacher Miss Helena was there too, with some of her daughters - I like Miss Helena. Anyway, I had my face painted (two little stars on my cheek), and went outside and played with some hoops, and did some tumbling, and played with the parachutes. One of the other teachers, Miss Lesley was in a lion outfit, but I was very scared of the lion and didn't want to go near her. My friend Manuv was there too with his Daddy, and Manuv didn't like the lion either!

Happy Easter for tomorrow. Daddy and I had the day off on Friday (my school was closed for Good Friday) so we had a fine time together. We went to BJs to do some bulk grocery shopping then we had some morning coffee and cake at Caribou (sorry Katie and Kate). Caribou has a great toy box that I like to play with. We were going to go to the lake to feed the ducks and play on the swings, but it got too close to lunchtime and nap time, so we went home instead. I was so tired that I had a three hour nap!

Mummy came home early so that was good. Kate came over at 6 to come play with me while Mummy and Daddy went out to dinner and to see Filthy Rich with Dick, Gerrie and Amanda. I got very sad because everyone was in the house playing with me, and then they all left. Kate comforted me and it was OK after that. I love Kate. We went to Starbucks and we did a little bit of shopping - I got, not 1 but 2 Dora toys as a present. Daddy thinks I am way too spoilt for my own good.

Today, Saturday, we went down to the pool for an Easter egg hunt that the community put on. I had lots of fun finding lots of Easter eggs. In fact, we were supposed to wait until everyone was ready, but twice, while no-one was looking, I sneaked up and picked up a couple of eggs. Daddy said I was supposed to wait, so I was good and I waited. I told Daddy that I wanted to get the pink ones, but in the end I wasn't too picky about the colors. In the end I got about 10 or so plastic Easter eggs with chocolate eggs inside them. It was a warm day, which meant the chocolate was very soft, so Mummy said it was best if we put them in the fridge.

We went to Target so I could get some new summer clothes, then we went to a new place for lunch. I was quite tired when I got home, so I went straight to sleep for my afternoon nap. Then in the afternoon, while Mummy got a hairdo, Daddy and I played in the backyard, playing with my Frisbee (which I call my "plate") and my soccer ball, plus we blew lots of bubbles. I'm getting quite good at blowing bubbles myself.

It's been a good extended weekend so far, and there's more - tomorrow we're going next door for dinner (and perhaps another Easter egg hunt!).

Yesterday my eyes were getting all goopy, so by lunchtime, my teacher Miss Helena decided that it best that I go home and go to the doctor. So Mummy collected me just before nap time. I napped at home and we went to the doctor after I woke up. Sure enough, I've got "pink eye" or conjunctivitis. So I got some eye drops to make me feel better.

In the afternoon, after Daddy came home, we went next door to Ken & Jean's to celebrate. If you recall, we were over there on Sunday for Easter dinner. It turned out that Sally (Ken & Jean are Sally's Daddy and Mummy) was going to have a baby on Monday! So we came over Monday evening to celebrate the birth of baby Kate Elizabeth at 6 lb 4 oz (2.8 kg) with some Champagne. Ellie was staying with her grandparents so she and I played. Ellie was given a new bicycle with trainer wheels - wow! She really liked riding it. I rode her tricycle around.

Today, Daddy was going to stay home and mind me, but Katie offered to play with me since she had the day off (Tuesday and Wednesday are her "weekend" with her current job). So I had a fabulous time - we played at her house and then we went to Lake Lynn to feed the ducks. We walked all the way around the lake - well I walked a little of the way, then we went back and picked up my stroller so I could go the rest of the way. We fed the ducks a whole bag of bread! I yelled out "come here baby ducks!". We met up with Kate and had pizza for lunch at Mellow Mushroom. Then we went next door to Starbucks (of course), then off to Smithfield for some Outlet Store shopping. I was tired so I slept in the car!

In the evening, we met up with Mummy & Daddy (how about that) at Red Robin for dinner. It's fun going there because they have balloons! Afterwards, I got to go to Starbucks again! I was very tired by the time I got home, and went striaght to bed.

I had a really fun time this afternoon and evening. We went next door to Ken and Jean's to visit Ellie and her new baby sister Kate (plus her Mummy and Daddy, Sally and David). I got to see baby Kate, but Mummy said I'll too little to touch or hold her. That's ok - she's pretty tiny.

I brought my tricycle with me so Ellie and I could ride our bikes while the grownups had some celebratory champagne. I had a fun time playing with Ellie - she's about 6 months older than me and she can ride a bicycle with trainer wheels and she's a few inches taller too. Still we had lots of fun. We also stayed for dinner too, quite unexpectedly. We ordered some pizza and that was nice too.

Mummy and Daddy bought me an easel today. It was really exciting. We first went to Target and K-Mart but couldn't find one there. But Daddy remembered there was a art supplies place near the Bear Rock Cafe so we headed down there. Turns out they were having a "Paintfest" with lots of things going on outside the shop in the parking lot, plus a sale! So we got my new easel for half price!

I didn't want to leave the shop because people were doing painting and I wasn't, so I cried a fair bit. Fortunately I had my blankie with me in the car so I was OK. However, at home, I didn't want to have my lunch or go have a nap even though it was almost nap time. "I don't want to have nap time, I want do to painting again...!" and "I wanna paint on my easel....!" Inserting sobbing sounds too.

So Daddy assembled the easel (I helped) and then I got to paint. It's really going painting at an easel instead of sitting down on the floor - I feel much more like an artist! After I painted 4 pictures, I was happy again, so I finished my lunch and went off to my nap without any issues.

I like my new easel and I like painting!

And did you know I can now open screw top bottles? And I can ride my tricycle without anybody's help!
