My Mummy is leaving for Monte Carlo tomorrow for her conference. She won't be back until Friday next week. I just know I'm going to miss her!

Daddy's lost his watch. He thinks I "put" it somewhere. When he asks me if I know where it is, I say "yes". He doesn't think I'm helping much.
Daddy also thinks that I look like my cousin Sarah, especially with my recent haircut. I wonder...

A fun Saturday
I'm having a great weekend with Daddy even though Mummy is away. Yesterday (Saturday) started off with me watching some Sesame Street with Daddy in Mummy & Daddy's bed. I like doing that - I prop myself up with pillows and I have my milk and tell Daddy all the things that I recognise on the TV. After that and some breakfast, we went for a bike ride. We were going to bike up to Shelley Lake, but in the end decided to go the other way on the bike path to Crabtree Mall. It was pretty humid and I worked Daddy hard ("mush mush"), but we brought water which kept everyone going. I had some sun lotion on me, but we were in shade most of the ride so it was OK.
When we came home, we went upstairs to read some books and play with some of my toys (and to cool down - it was hot!), then we popped out in the car to get some lunch. We ate at home then I went down for a nap while Daddy did "stuff". After I woke up, I played a bit more inside then we went out in the car again, this time to Shelley Lake to feed the ducks. That's lots of fun - we had a bag of bread and Daddy & I ripped up small pieces and threw them off the walking bridge at the lake. I had my hat and sunglasses on, but it was still pretty sunny and hot so we didn't stay long.
Back at home again, I went over next door and played with Brook while Daddy and Mark mowed their respective yards. Must be a Daddy thing. Oh yes, I guess I can tell my secret now that their parent's know - Brook & Mark are going to be parental units too! Brook is due early next year. Anyway, I had lots and lots of fun over with Brook. I didn't want to go for a walk, so we played inside then sat out on the deck and ate some grapes. Then I started playing with the water in Mea's and Baylor's water dish (it's a big bowl) and before you know it, I'm completely soaked! Brook helped by filling it back up again -- about 10 times -- because I did a lot of splashing. Daddy came over after he'd finished and had a shower, and I showed him my fun. We had some watermelon too. I washed various things in the bowl, like the dogs' chew bones and Brook's shoes - I'm helpful like that. Later on, Daddy got me a change of clothes (and a new nappy) so that was good.
We went home about 6 or so. I had a some dinner, watched some more Sesame Street on TV, then off to bed. I was exhausted!

Mummy's coming home today. Hooray! I've missed her but I've been good and not been too sad about it. I do, however, ask Daddy where she is.
Yesterday afternoon was good. I went with Daddy to the theatre so he could attend a meeting there. I wore my new black RLT t-shirt and everyone commented how appropriate it was - being backstage and wearing black! There were lots of new faces there so I was a little bit timid, but I sat quietly on Judi's lap for a while and then I sat on Linda's lap. So I got to see and hear what was going on, which was good. I also got to see Katie after the meeting which was excellent. She was there getting ready to go onstage in Carousel. I showed her my belly button (she likes that).

My week at school
Mummy's home - yay!
I had a great week at school this week, topped off with "Splash Day" today. Daddy dressed me in my swimming costume and put sunscreen on me, so that I could play outside in the water. Ms Esther had arranged some tubs of water and some ice and the hose to spray everyone. I got really wet and had lots and lots of fun. Daddy also brought a change of clothes so I wasn't in my swimmers all day. And we're doing it again next week too!
Here's what I did all this week:
Monday: My day was good! I enjoyed playing with ice on the playground and getting sprayed with water to stay cool. At group time, I enjoyed drawing with different colored markers. I also had fun counting and playing with numbered cars. Today at circle time, I requested "E-I-E-I-O" and "Itsy Bitsy Spider". I have been using my words today and telling my friends "no" when they do something I don't like.
Tuesday: Today I enjoyed playing with seashells and sand in the sensory table outside. At group time, I enjoyed putting number stickers on plates and singing and dancing to "Six Little Ducks" and other number songs. We played in ice outside and got sprayed with water (it was great fun). I was trying to bob for ice face first, but Ms Esther told me it was not safe. I went over to Ms Esther and said "ice" and shared with her. I love ice and water - it was great.
Wednesday: Today, the music man Mr Kenny came and we sang and danced on the playground. We also sang silly songs this afternoon. Also, I really enjoyed crayon creations after naptime. Today Kyle took his shoes off and when he sat down, I tried to put them back on him. I almost had it too!
Thursday: Today, I enjoyed playing the bongos to number songs. At group time, I had fun playing with playdough and number cookie cutters. On the playground, I enjoyed a game of follow-the-leader with my friends. I also did "Row Row" with my some of my smaller friends - I held their hands and rowed them back and forth all by myself!
Friday: I really enjoyed Splash Day today. I had a great time playing in the tub with the water toys. At group time, I named all of my classmates and counted up to 4. Then I sang my ABCs all by my myself! I also enjoyed ice play and making animal prints in the sand on the playground. I can say the names of all the farm animals and make their sounds too!

Here are photos from the new pool that Grandma Dorothy and Grandad Keith have had built at their place in Brisbane. It's been a long time coming -- work started 2½ years ago -- but everyone's pleased that it's finally finished (well, all but the landscaping).
The photo on the right has my cousins Peter and Sarah playing in the spa area. There are lots of little water jets there and its just the right height for people (big people - not me yet) to sit and relax. The rest of the pool is deeper for proper swimming and stuff.
This second photo is of my grandma drinking her "juice" in the pool. It looks a lot of fun there! We'll be going to Brisbane to visit everyone over Christmas - I can't wait to play in there myself.
I was in the pool on the weekend. It was a little bit scary, but I'm sure I'll be OK by the time we go to Australia.

Great weekend!
I had a great weekend this past weekend. Let's see. On Saturday morning I got to play with my new dinosaur pool that Mummy and I bought at Target the night before. It's really cool - first Mummy & Daddy had it set up in the lounge room so I could play with it indoors (and without water so it wasn't scary). Then in the afternoon, during my nap, they moved it outside and put some water in it. At first I wasn't so sure about it, but I soon got into splashing and I even got in and sat on the edge of it.

Then in the evening was something really special. We went and saw Amanda in the performance of her dance camp. It was a two-week intensive run by the North Carolina Dance Institute and Saturday night was the culmination of the camp. The dancing was fantastic and even though it lasted for 2 hours (from 6-8pm, way after my bedtime), I stayed interested (and enthralled) the entire time. Daddy took some photos so you can see what I mean. Check out photo #83 in particular.
Of course I was mostly interested in seeing Amanda on stage. She was great (here too, but she was in lots of different pieces). At one point, in between two pieces, the stage went dark and the audienced hushed. I was sitting on Gerrie's lap at the time and I turned to her and said "where'd they go?". Everyone around us chuckled at that. Afterwards lots of people comments on how well behaved I was and how cute I looked. Nice!
After that, I was still in fine spirits, so we all went out for pizza at a local pizza place. That was great too and I stayed up till after 10!
Unfortunately for my staff, I woke up at my usual time of 6:30am. Lucky for Daddy, it was Father's Day so Mummy and I let him sleep in (until 7). Then I brought him my second Father's Day card. I had already give him my hand-made Father's Day card on Friday. He liked my second card too - it had a dog on the front. I also gave him my present too - a box of cherries! I had them flown in from Cherrymoon Farms. They were yummy - I had some too. We have a little tool that gets the pip out of the cherries so it makes them easy to eat - I love cherries.
Sunday was great. I played in my pool both in the morning and in the afternoon. And since it was such a great afternoon, Daddy and I went for a bike ride up to Shelley Lake. We met Mummy up there and we threw bread to the ducks. Then Daddy and I rode home again, just in time to play with Mea and Baylor next door. By then it was dinner time.
Wow, what a weekend!
