I had a wonderful time last night with Katie and Kate. I had dinner at Panera and then of course I just had to visit Starbucks! We also went to Target for some shopping. I was really lucky and got a Dora placemat and some little Dora pieces that make up a kitchen that go with my other Dora house toys. Did I mention that I like Dora? Thanks Katie and Kate!

In other news, I went to the doctor on Thursday and found out that I have a burst ear drum. It will get better with my pink yummy antibiotic, but I stayed home Thursday. I was back at school on Friday though.

Daddy's going to be away for the next three days so I'm looking after Mummy. He'll be in Florida at a conference for work. I'll probably miss him.

Poor Katie - her puppy dog Maggie died earlier this week. That's very sad. Maggie and I have played together before.

Mummy flew out today for Dublin. She'll be there at her conference for almost 2 weeks. So I'm looking after Daddy all by myself. I'm a big girl afterall.

Daddy took me back to the doctor today to ensure my ears are all clear of the infection. He was thinking that maybe it was back because I told him my ear hurt this morning. However, the doctor says it is clear. Hmmm.

Last night, I showed Mummy & Daddy my new trick. I have my Fancy Feet class every Thursday and one of the things I've learned is how to do a forward roll. It goes like this:

  1. Hands up to the sky
  2. Hands on the mat
  3. Head to the floor and look up and your belly button
  4. Push foward with your bottom

...and over I go. I'm really good at it!

The weekend's been good. I've been minding Daddy while Mummy's in Dublin.

Daddy and I had a fun time Friday night. We had dinner with Amanda, Gerrie and Dick over at their house. When we arrived, Amanda and I went upstairs and I got changed out of my school clothes and then we played with Amanda's hundreds of stuffed toys. We also watched some TV too. It was St Patrick's Day so we had a traditional Irish dish, Corned Beef and Cabbage. I sat the table with everyone (Daddy brought my blue chair from home) and I had some dinner too - I liked it!

Thanks for having us over Gerrie!

I've been very busy this week. On Tuesday night, Katie and I played together while Daddy went to a special board meeting at theatre. Of course we went to Starbucks. I had so much fun that I had to write about it in my daily report at school the following day:

Today I enjoyed playing with my friend Manuv in the block area. I told my teacher all about Katie and going to Starbucks. And in art, I enjoyed painting in the big book we're making on the Rainforest.

Last night, Daddy and I went to the theatre. On the way, we stopped by the Village Deli to pick up dinner - I had a grilled cheese sandwich and some lemonade. At the theatre, Daddy was taking publicity photos and cast and crew photos for Raleigh Little Theatre's next production Filthy Rich.

I sat at a table off to the side of the stage and ate my dinner. Linda sat next to me and we did some drawing afterwards (Linda brought some up from downstairs - very nice of her). After I had my dinner, I wandered around the stage, entertaining everyone, while Daddy took his photos. I got tired towards the end and just alternately hung onto the tripod or Daddy's legs.

This evening, Daddy and I cooked steak on the grill and made some potatoes and some salad too. I had a pretty good dinner. After my nice bath and some books, I was chewing on the straw of my milk. Daddy wondered why I was chewing and I told him it was because I had new teeth. I showed him by opening my mouth and showing them - one on each side of my lower jaw at the back. Daddy was most impressed. I guess that's why I've had a runny nose and stuff this past week.

Mummy's going to be home in 4 sleeps. Hooray.

Mummy arrived home last night, hooray! And she brought presents too!

The bad news is that as of yesterday, I am sick again. We went to the doctor this morning, and I have Strep Throat. I've got some antibiotics (my pink yummy, Amoxicillin, but twice the dose I have had for ear infections) so that should set me straight. I'm not a very well little person.

I'm very glad Mummy is home.
